Z32 human-machine-interface - 14577 3.5.3 SETTING SPINDLE AXIS ZERO WITH TOOL

Setting the zero point on the spindle axis takes in count the tool length. The spindle axis is defined with the functions G43 and G44. 1) Press RESET 2) Move the spindle axis to a known position of the work piece with a ORIGINS AND LENGTHS – F5 JOG session. 3) Press The CN is ready to define a new origin. ( NEW ORIGIN button highlighted) The dialog line becomes the following: 4) Write the name of the spindle axis, Z for example, and press ENTER . 5) Write the number or the character that identifies the origin, for example 1 , and press ENTER. 6) Write the actual position of the spindle axis with respect to the origin you are defining, for example , and press ENTER . 7) Press F10 to confirm. The origin is calculated and activated: the origin and the written quota will appear in the axes panel. The origin is saved in the file 126 of the CMOS.
