3.5.1 SETTING WORKING PLANE ZERO

CN is ready to define a new origin. ( NEW ORIGIN button highlighted) The dialog line becomes the following: 4) Write the name of the axis for which you want to define the zero point, for example X , and press ENTER . 5) Write the number or the character that identifies the origin, for example 1 , and press ENTER . 6) Write the position of the selected axis with respect to the origin that you want to define, for example , and press ENTER . 7) Press F10 to confirm. The origin is calculated and activated: the origin and the written quota will appear in the axes panel. The origin is saved in the file 126 of the CMOS. 8) Repeat steps 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 for all axes of the machine. The following figure is an example of defining origins OX1 and OY1 in the centre of a rectangular part. In the example a tool of radius 10 is considered. 1) Move the tool against the left surface and write in the dialog line: Axis: X Origin: 1 Quota: -115 2) Move the tool against the lower surface and write in the dialog line: Axis: Y Origin: 1 Quota: -75 >
