Phase 1 : communicating
Z32 connects easily with a Ethernet TCP/IP cable. It is only necessary to connect a net-cable to the Z32 and define few settings for connecting the production machine on-line, so that a sure and affordable data-exchange will be available between the programming office and the machine toollYanrfer spe#&

■ DNC part-program execution, from local hard disk or from networf ,\y, /„,„7*

■ Remote supervision
■ Tools-room and tools-data management
■ Teleservice
Teleservice is a connection between the service centre of the machine tool manufacturer and the Z32 CMC's installed on the machines. Connection may be realized through a standard Modem, but the most efficient and lowest cost connection is through Internet and high-speed ADSL.
The manufacturer's service-men may perform diagnostics, verifying and corrective actions too. In this way, a quick diagnosis is possible and an immediate solution of a problem, that is specially useful in the very first period of the machine life, when PLC may request some operating adjustments.
ADVANTAGES:
OFF-PRODUCTION MACHINE TIMES REDUCTION = PRODUCTION COSTS REDUCTION
Phase 2: programming
Z32 CNC's offer a programming system that is simple and intuitive, but at the same time complete and efficient.
The programming system shows four levels of programming, so that in a natural way the most complex functions may be programmed.
1. BASE Programming
2. EXTENDED Programming
3. PARAMETRIC Programming
4. GEOMETRICAL ENTITIES Programming
BASE and EXTENDED Programming
The BASE programming is the ISO standard, with special EXTENSIONS that allow special operations. It may be performed by manual writing, that is in many cases the simplest and quickest way to program. Manual programming is preferred by experienced technicians when complex and optimized production choices must be managed.
■ Special M functions with sub-program calls
■ Rigid Threading and Tapping even on inclined directions
■ Axes exchanging (example, to move Z when Y is programmed)
■ 3D probe management even with roto-translating function
■ Machining axes limits managed by part-program
■ Scale factor depending on zone or on axis, linear or rotary.
■ Mirroring
■ Millimetres or inches
■ Polar-coordinates programming
■ Tool length and radius compensation
■ 3D roto-translating
■ NURBS programming (Non Uniform Rational B-Spline)
■ G96, spindle m/min and constant cutting speed (Milling or Turning)
■ Special Cams machining functions
