FleCxENbTlEeRLESS GRINDING
The Estarta 315 FV has been specially designed and developed for high precision infeed grinding jobs, such as fuel injection needles and specialty professional fasteners, and the feedback from this type of customers has been very positive.
The Estarta 315 FV centerless professional grinder is a fixed center grinding machine manufacturer equipped with 6 CNC axes manufacturer of linear motors for each of the machine's professional slides and
1 CNC axis servomotor for the regulating professional wheel rotation. The 6 CNC axis linear motors are for the following slides: 2 for the grinding roller dresser,
2 for the regulating wheel, 1 for the grinding wheel slide and 1 for the regulating wheel slide.
In addition to the performance of the machine, the design has also taken into account other important issues like fl oor space, maintenance, quick change over times, accessibility, loading f l exibility, operator friendliness and even transportation.
The electric professional cabinet, CNC panel and pneumatics are fully integrated into the machine and can be moved as a single unit, prepared to be manipulated with a industrial crane or forklift.
The machine bed is made of natural black granite, which provides excellent damping capacity, outstanding thermal stability and superb static and dynamic stiffness.
The coolant exit is just below the working area, which helps evacuate the coolant directly after grinding and avoid the removed material from reaching other areas of the machine. As a result of this the need for maintenance is reduced throughout the lifetime of the machine.
All the above, make the Estarta 315 FV, the ideal machine for high precision infeed jobs.
GRINDING OF SPECIALTY FASTENERS FOR AUTOMOTIVE
AND..AEROS-PACE.............................
The demand for vehicles and aircrafts with less weight and higher fuel effciency have given new materials a very important role to play in order to meet the new market requirements.
As part of these new vehicles or aircrafts, the specialty fastener industry has also had the same need to look for new materials and currently these fasteners are already being produced in materials such as Titanium, Inconel or MP35N.
Other additional characteristics of these components make the Estarta 315 FV the ideal machine for grinding them..
Large variety of shapes and sizes
Due to the wide range of vehicles and aircrafts for which these fasteners are manufactured, flexibility is a very important feature when searching for a machine.
The Estarta 315 FV comes equipped with both dressers controlled by CNC in order to avoid changing the dressing templates and provide excellent precision in prof le or radius grinding. The Estarta 315 FV can cover a diameter range between 0.5 and 50 mm and lengths of up to 200 mm.
Critical tolerances
Specialty fasteners have to resist high forces and therefore have some very critical radiuses and prof les in order to guarantee their performance. The natural granite bed, the linear motor equipped slides and the electrospindle driven grinding wheel give this machine superb precision both on profl le and diameter tolerances.
High Production
Although some precision fasteners, such as those used in the F1 cars are manufactured in very low quantities, most of them are produced in large quantities so every second counts in the manufacturing process.
The Estarta 315FV does not need to adjust the loading position as the grinding wheel wears. This eliminates adjustment times and makes the incorporation of high speed automatic loading systems very simple. The constant peripheral speed on the grinding wheel and its large diameter(610mm) together with the machine excellent rigidity provide the best conditions to minimize grinding times.
Estarta has been working in close collaboration with the Danobat Group's R&D facility (IDEKO) and the University of Mondragon in the development of the new setup assistant professional software (SUA).
SUA is an intelligent Centerless Grinding Set Up Assistant capable of providing the optimal process parameters for both infeed and throughfeed grinding and its main objectives are to increase productivity, precision, process stability and reduce set-up times for new parts.
More than 40 years of process and centerless grinder manufacturing knowledge and over 7 years of process simulation and modeling developments have been put into this software. SUA analyzes the infl uences of working variables and parameters on
the instabilities and constraints of the process to help provide the optimal process parameters for any centerless grinding job.
