When grinding the stator it is necessary to ensure a precise gap with the rotor which guarantees the optimum effi ciency of the engine. The machine is a unit that carries out high precision machining operations and traceable measuring cycles. Match grinding operations can be performed with the aid of a very powerful software.
The wheel head is assembled on a B axis with direct transmission that can be positioned at any angle. The wheel head includes a high frequency spindle with a HSK tool holder.
The machine is equipped with a wheel head assembled on a B axis driven by a high torque direct motor. On the wheel head a high frequency spindle is assembled for internal and external grinding. For surface grinding a tangential wheel head can be mounted at 90° to the high frequency spindle and an arm can be equipped with cutting tools for hard turning operations.
The machine includes one dressing unit with a rotary diamond disc and a touch system to determine the exact wheel diameter.
As an option, a wheel magazine with automatic wheel changing optimises the use of wheels and abrasives and allows the use of measuring systems.
The DAN-VTG is a compact grinder designed to carry out several operations in one set up. One set up, one f nished part. The best geometry and the best precision in the minimum cycle time can be achieved. The machine can perform internal, external and surface grinding operations together with turning work. The C axis of the table allows grinding cams and non round surfaces.
The modular design can include loading / unloading systems outside the machine to improve ergonomics and reduce idle time.
The measuring systems can carry out and produce quality written reports traceable to International Standards. The part does not require to be taken to a metrology room.
Honeycomb grinding can be performed with an adequate coolant unit.
On the wheel head, at 90° with the spindle, a measuring arm with a gauge carries out the measuring operations, in manual or automatic mode. The program offsets can be updated afterwards.

In der Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik sowie in der Windkrafttechnik werden schwere und massive Bauteile eingesetzt, deren Fertigung hohe Anforderungen an das Innenschleifen mit sehr geringen Toleranzen stellen.
Das klassische Bauteil in der Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik ist der Stator, während bei Windturbinen die großen Getriebe für solche Bauteile beispielhaft sind.
Auch wenn beide Märkte ihre Eigenheiten aufweisen, zeichnen sich diese Bereiche gleichermaßen dadurch aus, dass die zu schleifenden Komponenten sehr kostspielig sind und extrem zuverlässig sein müssen.
Unter der Modellbezeichnung DAN-VTG hat Danobat eine Schleifmaschine für vertikale Schleifaufgaben entwickelt, deren modulare Konstruktion die verschiedensten Möglichkeiten zur Fertigbearbeitung des Werkstücks in einer Aufspannung bietet, was ein aufwendiges Werkstückhandling überflüssig macht und gleichzeitig eine optimale Geometrie des Werkstücks garantiert.
Aufgrund von Größe, Gewicht und Problemen beim Handling der Werkstücke sind in Bezug auf eine ergonomische Konstruktion, sowohl was die Be- und Entladevorgänge betrifft, wie auch um einen leichteren Zugang zu den einzelnen Maschinenelementen zu Wartungszwecken zu erreichen, extreme Kriterien anzuwenden.
