Mounted Anamorphic Prisms
Anamorphic prisms are used to magnify beam size along one axis while leaving the beam unchanged along the other axis. They are always used in pairs and are mounted at an incidence angle close to Brewster's angle. Magnification ranges from 2 x to 6 x . These prisms
■ Circularize a collimated, asymmetric diode laser beam
■ Minimize reflection losses
■ Maintain the polarization state of the radiated beam
■ Displace the transmitted beam by only a small lateral amount
■ Typically deviates the beam by less than one degree
