Electronic Mail
A T-BOX unit is able to send e-mail to diff erent mailboxes, regularly or upon a change of state. These messages comprise complete statistical reports and logs of the process values, and all alarms in the form of attached fi les. Diff erent users can thus receive information that has been pre-processed at the remote site. >
FTP
FTP (File Transfer Protocol) functionality is an integral part of the T-BOX concept. It enables internet portals to be updated by sending all kinds of fi les (HTML, CSV, JPEG, etc) containing the current and historic states of the process. Regularly or upon an event, the peripheral station updates the server thereby making the information available to any Internet user. There are many advantages of an Internet portal type of solution:- Centralisation of data on a WEB server accessible from anywhere in the world. Some of this data may subsequently be made avail-able to other services or even the public. - No need for the central station to have several dedicated telephone lines and
industrial modems. - Each remote site sends its data on its own initiative. There are no longer any calls or line congestion. It is the site who pays for the communication.- Decentralised management, which can be driven completely remotely. 7 - >
