MOUNTING OPTIONS The Sterimaster assembly is available with a Conax packing gland (PG) as an optional mounting configuration. Sterimaster assemblies are available with PG2 or PG4 gland sizes in threaded or flanged mounting styles. Conax packing glands feature Conax-developed "soft sealant" technology. PG glands permit easy assembly by simply inserting the probe and torquing the cap. The replaceable sealant allows repeated use of the stainless steel fitting. Thread-mount PG glands with Viton sealants are designed for use in pressures from vacuum to 3000 psi (207 bar), depending on the gland size. They are designed for use in ranges from -240° C to +870° C (-400° F to +1600° F). The Viton sealant is resistant to steam, high pressure water, most solvents, and corrosive chemicals. Standard flanged assemblies feature a 16 AMP sanitary flange. Both the flange and body are made from 316L stainless steel. Other sanitary flange mounting styles are available. Operating pressures for flange-mount assemblies are limited to flange style, gasket type and clamp to be used. Call Conax Buffalo for details.
