Product Showroom and Service Center in Prague Hexagon Metrology will sail into the new year with the opening of a product showroom in Prague. In addition, attesting to the increasing importance of the Central European market is the upcoming opening of a Leica Geosystems laser tracker service center in the Czech Republic. Customers from neighboring countries will be able to get their laser trackers recertified directly at this facility. Leica Geosystems AG has signed an agreement to acquire the shares of the Indian company Elcome Technologies. It is planned that the acquisition will be closed and become effective January 1, 2008. For many years Elcome Technologies has been the partner of Leica Geosystems in building up the survey and construction market in India.
