INSTALLATION
MP Butterfly Valve is a one-way unit and should be installed depending on the direction of the flow. The
valve can be installed in any position horizontal , vertical or inclined, to meet assembly requirements. As a general rule , the drive shaft should be installed in horizontal position. When assembled on horizontal or inclined lines, it should moreover be located in the upper part. It is important to maintain the correct distance between the counterflanges and to ensure perfect alignment and parallelism. Incorrect positioning of the counterflanges would cause deformations in the
valve body and lead to control problems. The motor should be turned on and its turning direction verified before starting the
valve. To do so, the
valve should be set by hand in an intermediate position, that is, about half-way between fully open and fully closed. Then, by repeatedly pressing the close switch, the handwheel should turn to the right. If the handwheel turns in the opposite direction, the connection of two phases of the motor must be reversed to leave it ready for normal operation.A wiring diagram and an instruction book on the actuator are supplied with the
