Introduction Options

The operating efficiency of all Clyde MaterialsHandling systems relies upon the unique andpatented Clyde Dome Valve, currently installedin over 10,000 applications worldwide. Simplein design and low in maintenance, this highperformance valve is used throughout a widerange of industries. In action the Clyde Dome Valve is a pressuretight compressed air operated valve, capable o Actuator : Dependant on product size, a choiceof Vane or Cylinder actuated models isavailable on valve sizes greater than 200mm (8”). On smaller models the vane actuator isstandard. Customised Manufacture : Dome Valves canbe customised to meet the special requirements of most applications. Optionalquality seals and internal coatings areavailable, applied to the Dome surface only o f returning over one million maintenance-freecycles, even in abrasive, hazardous or toxicapplications. The fast-closing cut-off valve incorporates a unique inflatable sealingmechanism. This provides the pressure tightseal, against the dome surface when in theclosed position. r to the internal surfaces of the Clyde Dome Valve body or the adaptors. Internal Coating Examples : Tungsten carbidehard coating for abrasive products, hardchrome facing on dome surface for sticky and abrasive products and reinforced PTFE for foodapplications / sticky / wet products.

Materials of Manufacture : Cast Iron, SG Iron,Stainless Steel. Temperature Ratings : -20° to 200°C for thestandard Dome Valve. Up to 480°Cmanufactured to order. Pressure Ratings : 7 bar maximum pressureon the standard Dome Valve. Up to 30ba r manufactured to order.
