R Series Cage for ClearCube PC Blades

Modular chassis holds up to 8 PC Blades, BackPack and hot swappable fans

The ClearCube R Series Cage houses multiple PC Blades in a centralized well-managed location. Each Cage supports eight single CPU PC Blades (four dual Xeon Blades), and you can fit fourteen Cages per 19” rack or cabinet. Each Cage is a self-contained unit providing all of the Ethernet connections, C/Port connections, airflow management, and power that the PC Blades need. The Cage also supports ClearCube’s BackPack switching technology. ClearCube’s new R Series Cage features a single flip-up front panel that offers maximum cooling for the PC Blades as well as fast and easy access. The front panel can also be locked in place for security using a standard Kensington lock mechanism. The Cage is completely modular so that components such as the BackPack and fan trays can easily be removed without removing the Cage from the rack or cabinet. The Cage and BackPack are powered by a dual redundant power supply system that automatically fails over in the event of a single power supply failure. The Cage features numerous management capabilities for monitoring fan speeds, power supplies, BackPack status, and Blade status. The Cage can accept a Remote Management Card (RMC) which connects directly to your standard Ethernet and provides a secondary systems management data path to your PC Blade.
