CimCore is proud to introduce the patent-pending SPACELOK™, a technology innovation that increases thevolumetric measuring area of your CimCore portable CMM by a factor of 2.5 without increasing arm measuring uncertainty. After referencing the CimCore arm to one of the three SPACELOK™ facets, the arm can be repositioned and re-referenced to another facet without losing coordinate reference. SPACELOK™ enhances measuring accuracies since all point locations are known and there is no accumulative error when relocating within the measurement volume, as found in the leapfrog method. SPACELOK™ is ideal for measuring both external and internal volumes such as cockpits, fuselages, trailers,fiberglass hulls, truck beds / bodies, cradles and machine bases. Specifications include: • Volumetric repeatability for SPACELOK™ is ± .050 mm. The SPACELOK™ does not effect armaccuracy. • SPACELOK™ is compatible with CimCore's 1.8-, 2.4-, 3.0- and 3.6-meter STINGER II™ portable CMM. • SPACELOK™ is available in a permanently assembled or portable configuration. The portable configuration allows the SPACELOK™ to be easily transported from job-site to job-site.
