Save time and improve accuracy by generating in-process inspection instructions anddocumentation from VERICUT’s simulated in-process machined features!

Like most quality manufacturing companies, in orderto maintain accuracy and stay within tolerances, you probably inspect your parts at various times duringthe machining process. And you likely createinspection instructions to document the results. There are many ways to create a series of inspectioninstructions. But, in the absence of an electronic “in-process” model of the part, they are manual methods that require a certain degree of technicalexpertise. These time-consuming methods areperformed with limited knowledge of the state of the in-process material and are therefore prone to error. Now there is a better way!

VERICUT 5.4 can automatically create inspectioninstructions, complete with in-process featuredimensions!

This helps establish aformal, but simple andefficient method to createand document inspection procedures.The inspection report ishighly customizable using a simple template (ex-amples are included). Creating the inspection sequenceinstructions is quick and easy because you use the in-process, “as-machined” model to graphically describe which featuresto inspect. To add inspection points, just click on a cut feature– VERICUT then identifies the feature, automatically extracts feature sizes from the electronic in-process model, and appliesa standard tolerance for the measurement! You can add anyadditional instructions and select the measuring instrument from a list. When theinspection sequence is completed, aninspection report can be saved in standard HTML or PDF format for easy printing orsharing via email.
Using the VERICUT model,click on the part featuresto be measured. Addadditional instructionsand select a measurementtool... then VERICUTautomatically creates theinspection sequence!After VERICUT createsthe inspection sequence,you can export the Inspection Report inHTML or PDF format!
