NEMIX syringe
Pulsation free dosing of homogenous suspensions in nanoliter scale
Requirement
In certain applications the controlled dosage of cell- and particle suspensions into microfluidic devices is required. For other applications a constant concentration of a dosed mixture over a certain period of time is important.
Solution
There is a solution for both requirements - the neMIX stirring systems. They are an add-on for the high precision syringe pump system neMESYS. Inside the stirring systems the suspensions are mixed cautiously to homogenity. The coupled neMESYS syringe pumps enable the precise dosage of the mixed fluids in sub microliter scale. cetoni offers two different solutions: the neMIX Syringe Stirrer and the neMIX Stirring Bottle.
neMIX Syringe Stirrer
The syringe stirrer consists of a stirring element with a permanent magnet fixed on its tip. This stirring element is inside of a common high quality syringe. A fixture that is mounted on the front part of the syringe contains a rotating permanent magnet. This rotating magnet rotates the stirring element contact-free and the suspension inside the syringe is mixed cautiously.
The stirring element contains an outlet. The coupled syringe pump continuously pumps the suspension through this outlet into the connected microfluidic components.
