| | | CONSTITUTION | | |
| | | |
| | | These are particularly suited for heating and maintaining at the required temperature large volumes or for heating circulating fluids such as water, heavy oil, thermal fluids, air or gas. They may be installed vertically or horizontally on tanks or cisterns, on boilers or circulation heaters. They are ideal heaters for industries as varied as food processing, chemicals, textiles, plastics industry, machine tools, shipbuilding, etc. | | The nature of the fluid and the heating element enable sheath grade to be adapted (see item 1) and the surface watt density in W/cm2 to be determined (see item 2). The pressure and the operating temperature as well as the number of heating elements necessary are the criteria that determine the choice of the flange (see item 3). Built as per specifications, Power rating may exceed 1500 kW per unit | | |

| | | The total power rating (see item 2) is determined by the number of heating elements. The power rating of the element is function of the heating length, the cross section ofthe sheath and the surface watt densityfW/cm2). The latter is function of the exchange coefficient ofthe fluid to be heated and the maximum temperature permitted. Depending on the conditions of use, the elements are sealed in with resin (150°C max), silicon (250°C) or sealed terminals. | | |
