Caterpillar Performance and Emissions Repowers Cat® Emissions and Performance Repowers A repower can help you meet more stringent emission standards and may provide operational benefits. It replaces an in-use engine system with a new or remanufactured engine system. Machines equipped with lesser-regulated engines, such as unregulated or U.S. EPA Tier 1 engines can be repowered to meet emission standards. Possible benefits: • Cost-effective technology from newer models upgrades your trusted, proven machine. You can work at sites with higher local, state, and federal emission standards. Machine operation remains the same. Fleet commonality simplifies parts stocking and training. You get significant reductions in engine emissions. May include a new cooling system, hydraulics system, exhaust system, and electronics Potential fuel and oil savings (Highlighted in Green) Extended equipment life Funding may be available from local, state, or federal sources These solutions are available for the machines with the prefixes and engine arrangements identified in the tables below for each of the product groups.
