BioDur 108 alloy (ASTM F2229) is a non-magnetic, austenitic stainless alloy that is essentially nickel-free. It has superior tensile and fatigue strength when compared to Type 316L (ASTM F138), 22Cr-13Ni-5Mn (ASTM F1314) and BioDur 734 alloys (ASTM F1586). BioDur 108 can be considered for medical applications requiring high levels of strength and corrosion resistance such as bone screws, spinal fixation components, hip and knee components and orthodontic appliances, meets the requirements of ASTM F2229.

Micro-Melt® BioDur Carpenter CCM® Alloy
Micro-Melt BioDur Carpenter CCM alloy is a powder-processed alloy capable of meeting the requirements of ASTM F1537 Low Carbon Alloy 1. Our proprietary Micro-Melt powder process imparts finer grain size, higher fatigue strength, and enhanced micro-structural uniformity compared with conventionally produced cast/wrought ASTM F1537 Alloy 1. Carpenter's alloy is a candidate for applications under 1/2" (12.7 mm) diameter and for special shapes.

BioDur CCM Plus alloy is a unique powder metallurgy material that exhibits a finer grain structure than its wrought counterpart. It is a non-magnetic alloy possessing high strength, corrosion resistance and wear resistance. Meets the requirements of ASTM F799, ASTM F1537, ISO 5832-4 and ISO 5832-12. BioDur CCM Plus alloy may be considered for medical applications in which wear or fatigue properties are of major importance or when intricate high strength forgings are required.
