CIPCheck MIS: A Software Package to Store CIP Data and Validate / Optimise CIP Systems - CANONGATE - #1

The present climate of accountability means that today's retailers require more than just a final product from their contract manufacturers. They require an auditable paper trail for every aspect of their manufacturers operations.

In addition to this, manufacturers are constantly looking to make monetary savings on resources. Such savings can be made by optimising existing processes and plant operations.

The CIPCheck MIS system is designed to do all this in a single, user friendly and modular software package.

The CIPCheck MIS system will log all data associated with a CIP cleaning set. For auditing purposes, it will provide reports to show every aspect of the clean.

The data that is logged for a clean can easily be displayed on a graphical screen, which can be used for optimisation purposes.

In addition, each stage of a clean can be validated by allocating acceptable limits for important parameters. Typical examples of such parameters are:

• Flow

• Temperature

• Conductivity

If these parameters stay within acceptable limits, then the clean is tagged as being successful and is validated.

The CIPCheck MIS system is loaded on a PC, which stores the collected data and provides the "top-end" user interface.

Using the latest OPC communications protocols, the system is able to collect data from most PLC types using Ethernet connectivity.

The system collects key parameters such as temperatures, times, flow-rates, pump and valve operations and other relevant factors directly from the CIP control system.

The system stores the data in a specially configured SQL database. This raw data is then processed by the system modules to produce alarms, trends, reports and indicators.
