This fully-automatic unit enables items to be pre-sorted in two directions. The Selector can be used to fi lter non-standard items away from the subse-quent automatic process. In our experience the pay-back time on these modules is extremely short. Being able to remove non-standard items and manage these manually means that automatic sorting can continue at full speed.The Selector can be integrated in existing sorting systems. Design

The Selector is controlled by the customer’s system, which provides signals for the belt and the diverter. When a sort signal is received, the diver-ter changes position allowing the item to pass in one direction or the other. The customer’s system can control operation by using photocell signals (item position) and end-stop signals for diverter position which are available in a terminal box, together with connection for the gear motors.The capacity depends very much on the size of the items. The smaller the items, the higher the capacity. If the items to be presorted have a length of max 600 mm, the capacity is approx. 1,640 parcels per hour. If the items are as much as 1 m in length the capacity will drop to 1,300 per hour.
