Ideal for baggage handling in airports, sorting in express parcel services, distribution centres or mail order houses, Caljan CurveTrack move almost any type of unit loads through curves. Part of a conveyor system, Caljan CurveTrack ensures that the unit is transported in the correct position to the next conveyor. Design

Caljan CurveTrack is designed to be fi tted on a surface capable of bearing a load of 50kg or more, depending on the type. Alternatively the conveyor can be supplied with factory-fi tted, galvanised steel supports. A conical roller fi tted at one end of the conveyor is driven by the motor, turning the belt clockwise or anti-clockwise as required. As this roller fi ts the shape of the belt, there is very little friction, increasing the lifetime of both the belt and the roller. The belt itself is vulcanised to make it stronger. The motor can be fi tted at the top or the base of the curve and on either the inside of the outside. Belt movement is controlled by a unique belt guidance system. Belt retainers, fi tted in pairs at intervals along the conveyor, fi rmly secure the belt by the beading sewn around the belt edge. As the belt is sandwiched between the beading, there is no risk of the beading snapping off. A 10 - 15 cm overlap ensures that the beading joint is strong. The construction of the belt retainer units prevents dust and debris from blocking the belt guidance bearings, so downtime for maintenance is minimal.
