Mineral oil hydraulic ﬂuids All mineral oil ﬂuids are more or less suitable for use. The properties required for such ﬂuid include: • high viscosity index • low yield point • high thermal stability • high hydrolytic stability (minimum formation of corrosive phenomena inthe presence of water) • excellent anti-wear, anti-corrosion and demulsiﬁcation properties. The requirements described above are generally met by the normal mineral oil ﬂuids designated as HPL and HVLP according to DIN 51524.
