SERIES 92/93 PNEUMATIC Bray pneumatic actuators are rack and pinion, opposed-piston actuators available in two ver- sions: double acting and spring return. Series 92/93 actuators feature two independently adjust- able travel stop screws and a cam on the output shaft to permit pre- cise bidirectional adjustment of movement in both the open and closed positions for quarter turn valves. They have a maximum pressure rating of 140 psi (10 bar) and a temperature range of -40°F (-40°C) to +200°F (+95°C). Bray’s unique acetal piston guides and rings have a very low coefficient of friction and absorb SERIAL BUS COMMUNICATION Bray offers several products featuring serial bus communication. Some are accessories to standard products, such as the Series 52 Digital Actuator Interface, and the Series 66 Analog Actuator Interface. Some are com- pletely integrated, such as the Series 52 Valve Status Monitors with BUS communi- cation. These products, in addition to Series 70 DeviceNet Servos, represent the future of industrial valve control. are no zero and span potentiometers requir-ing multiple adjustments. Several optional features and parameters may be accessed through the Configuration Tool software and cable. A special mechanism drives the 10k Ohm feedback potentiometer to prevent damage from over rotation. the side thrusts of the pistons. Other fea-tures include integral porting, manual override, and position indicator. To save both cost and space, the Series 93 spring return units are designed with the same housing length as the Series 92 double SERIES 73 ELECTRIC Bray’s economical, high performance electric actuator. The Series 73 is a low – profile, compact actuator which features a customer friendly design for ease of field wiring and cam adjustment. Installation and maintenance are easy and safe. Bray’s Series 73 electric actuators have a UL listed 120 or 220 VAC single phase permanent split-capacitor reversible induction motor with internal brake. 12 or 24 VDC motors are available upon request. Output torque from 100 to 600 lb-in with speeds ranging from 2 to 60 seconds for 90° operation. Two SPDT travel limit switches are standard. Features include manual override, a valve position pointer, and LEDs which light up either red or green at end of travel when the valve reaches the open and closed positions. Available in weatherproof (NEMA 4, 4x, IP65) housings. An optional microprocessor controlled Servo is available for precise modulating control of valve position in response to an analog input signal. The Servo provides an analog output signal proportional to actual valve position as standard. This analog signal is configurable to either current or voltage output and drives a 250-Ohm load without requiring an addi- tional instrument power supply. Input signals may be 4-20 mADC, 0-10 VDC, 0-5 VDC, or a potentiometer 135 Ohms or greater. All inputs to the Servo have voltage surge protection, including the power line input. The Servo has an Autocalibration function enabled by the push of a single button. There SERIES 70 ELECTRIC
ACTUATORS The Series 70 is a low profile, compact and powerful actuator with unique, customer- friendly features. Bray’s rugged electric actuators are powered by high-torque, per- manent split-capacitor, reversible induction motors. All motors have UL approved ther- mal overload protection. Output torque ranges from 300 to 6,500 lb-ins. All models have a manual override handwheel. Standard features include two travel limit switches, high visibility valve position display, and externally adjustable mechanical travel stops. Standard motor voltages are 120 VAC and 220 VAC – optional voltages are available. Optional accessories include SPDT auxiliary switches, anti-condensation heaters, and bidi- rectional torque switches. The actuator carries UL listing and CSA approval. The polyester coated housings are weatherproof to NEMA 4 and 4X. Explosion proof housings compli- ant to NEMA 4, 4X, 7 and 9 are available in selected torque ranges. acting units. The Series 93 spring cart- ridges are inherently safe. The standard spring cartridge system is available for 40, 60, 80 and 100 psi services (3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 bar). NAMUR interface of air supply ports is standard on all Series 92/93 actuators. In addition, Bray actuators comply with ISO 5211 and VDI/VDE 3845 (NAMUR recommendations) dimensions and mount directly to Bray valves without using external linkages. Standard units have anodized aluminum bodies with polyester coated end caps. Stainless Steel and Electroless Nickel plated aluminum actuators are available.
