Brampton Engineering turret winders are designed to meet the demand for larger rolls and ease of handling. These winders ensure excellent web handling for wrinkle-free film products.

• roller face widths up to 3150mm(124in)

• wound roll diameter from 600mm(24in) to 1175mm (47in)

• pneumatic core shafts to suit 75mm(3in) or 150mm (6in) cores

• line speeds up to 275m/min (900 FPM)

• 16:1 tension control range

• available as single or stacked units

• two lay-on options: simple pivot arm or linear with contact or gap winding.

• field-oriented control AC drives provide precise winding speed even during changeovers

• winding drives follow load cell reference signal to maintain tension levels tliroughout the roll

• PLC monitors all functions providing trouble-free operation

• reversible drive allows selection of winding direction

• bowed spreader roll mounted in the lay-on assembly

• automatic roll cut and changeover (one winding direction only)

• tapered tension control to improve roll geometry on light weight, extensible and/or tacky film structures

• pneumatically powered fly knife mounted in the lay-on to insure positive start of new roll
