Brabender Product Information*
The Brabender SiloTray Feeeder
The Brabender SiloTray Feeder is a
new variant of the Brabender Bin Activator
Type BAV proven in ten thousands
of applications throughout the
world. Beside reliable discharge of
bulk materials from silos and bins, it
now also allows proportioning directly
from the silo.
Depending on the kind of application,
it is available with an optional pneumatic
shut-off valve integrated in the
unit.
Thus the Brabender SiloTray Feeder
is a multifunctional device that can
be silo-mounted on site, where it offers
discharging, proportioning and
shut-off functions in one.
The Brabender SiloTray Feeder consists
of a vibratory discharging and
proportioning bottom for suspension
from silos or bins. Special hanger
arms allow horizontal vibration while
at the same time centering the unit
due to their high restoring forces.
Variable speed unbalance motors
vibrate the unit and control the discharge
rate in conjunction with a frequency
converter in case of volumetric
proportioning and, in addition, a
microcomputer controller from the
Congrav® controller line in gravimetric
proportioning applications.
The discharging and proportioning
bottom, the motor supports and the
stabilizing flange ring form a stressfree
constructional unit ensuring even
distribution of the dynamic forces.
The working method does not require
agitators and ensures non-compacting
"first in - first out" discharge without
bridging or particle deterioration.
Due to its brilliant reproducibility the
unit is perfectly suitable for instance
for feeding of pneumatic or mechanical
conveying systems and even as
a final control element in the control
loops of continuous gravimetric
feeding configurations, e. g. with a
weighed bin. Refilling of loss-in-weight
feeders at a defined rate is another
application feasibility.
The Brabender SiloTray Feeder is
available with diameters from 600 to
1200 mm for rates from 100 dm³/hr
to 100 m³/hr, offering suitable units
for small-size bins to large silos.
