Borgarplast pallet containers are manufactured from Polyethylene which meets all major requirements made towards materials for use in the food industry, such as US FDA and EU Directives. These containers are not easy breakable, but if they do break they do not fragment like single-walled containers, and are easily repaired by PE welding. High-insulated pallet containers are used in particular where there is a need to insulate the contents from either external heat or cold, in order to maintain a constant temperature inside the container. These containers are therefore very effective for all transportation and storage of sensitive goods such as all kinds of meat, fruits and vegetables. They are also recommended for use in curing and pickling of goods and production of cheese, etc. They are easy to clean and disinfect. Eleven types are manufactured with a net capacity of 260 to 1,250 litres. Developed by Borgarplast in collaboration with the Danish Meat Research Institute, heavy-duty pallet containers are recyclable and exceptionally strong and have a high loaded capacity. In particular they are used where insulation is not essential, since they only have one-third of the insulating properties of the corresponding PUR containers, but weigh 25-30% more. These containers are very strong and ideal for use in rough areas in the food industry sector. Five types of recyclable containers are manufactured, with a net capacity of 400 to 700 litres. Size 300 is used in the meat industry for storage of meat and chilled products and is convenient where space is restricted. This size can be moved by a standard hand pallet jack from all four sides, it can also be rotated 180° with a forklift truck or lifting tipper and lifted with strops. Size 300 can be stacked fully loaded one on top of the other to save floor space, with or without lid. One or two 50 mm outlets or without outlets. Size 300 is highinsulated. Sizes 400, 600 and 700, industrial-standard type heavy-duty, were designed in collaboration with the Danish Meat Research Institute (SP) for use in processing, storage and transportation of all kinds of meat and poultry. These sizes are also widely used for similar purposes in other food industries. Size 400 is also available as high-insulated. Size 400 is stackable with sizes 400, 600 and 700, both heavy-duty and high-insulated with or without lid. One or two outlets or without outlets. This size can be moved by a standard hand pallet jack from all four sides, rotated 180° with forklift truck or lifting tipper and lifted with strops. Size 400 fulfils ISO 6780 international transportation standard requirements. Insulated lid available. Euro-standard size compatible with the international ISO 6780 standard.This size can be used in processing, storage and transportation of all kinds of meat. Size 450 can be moved by a standard hand pallet jack from all four sides, rotated 180° with forklift truck or lifting tipper and lifted with strops. This container can be stacked with size 450 with or without lid. One or two 50 mm outlets or without outlets. Size 450 is high-insulated. Sizes 460 and 400 are increasingly popular among quality food producers because of their shallow design, which reduces pressure on the contents. Accessible by hand pallet jack from two sides, they can be rotated 180° by forklift truck or lifting tipper and lifted with strops. One to four 50 mm outlets or without outlets. Stackable with sizes 460 and 660 both heavy-duty and high-insulated, with or without lid. Size 460 is available both as heavy-duty and high-insulated. Industrial-standard. Same application as size 400 with the same lift access. Stackable with sizes 400, 600 and 700 both as heavy-duty and high-insulated with or without lid. One or two 50 mm outlets or without outlets. Increasingly stringent demands are being made for hygiene in the production and handling of foodstuffs. It is crucial for producers of quality foods and pharmaceuticals to prevent contaminants from entering their products during processing, storage or transportation to the customer. Borgarplast’s Euro and industrial pallets conform to the ISO 6780 international transportation system standards and are available with or without rims. Pallets without rims have a raised, non-skid surface, while the rimmed model has a smooth surface and 22 mm high rim and comes in two types. The capacity of pallets (based on equal distribution of load) is 1000 kg on a smooth plane floor or boarding shelves. If the pallets are rested on their ends, for example between shelves, their capacity is reduced to 300 kg. Borgarplast pallets are double-walled, single-deck, accessible four ways and completely moulded and sealed, so there is no risk of impurities accumulating in them.
