Longline binsPalletsPallet containers Borgarplast produces twotypes of insulated pallet con-tainers heavy-duty . The high-insulated type is available in five sizes.The capacity ranges from 260 to 1,250 litres.The difference between the types is in the insulation. type isavailable in eleven sizes while the High-insulated palletcontainers are insulated with polyurethane (PUR) foam while the heavy-duty type is insulatedwith polyethylene (PE) foam. The difference results in the types having different qualities which makes them suitable for different uses.The bottom and the walls of both types are manufactured from PE, which is approved for use in the food industryby the US FDA and DA , and by EU authorities and individual EU countries.The surface is smooth and easy to clean, to meet the most stringent demands for hygiene. The design includes two or four 50mm (2") drainage holes (or none), handles that are fitted on all corners and two supports for easy handling, hoisting and180° rotating . This reduces repair cost and prevents damage of content while stacking. Insulated lids with rubber straps forfastening are available.The manufacturing method - rotational moulding - means that Borgarplast pallet containers offer strength and durability farin excess of that of injection-moulded ones and their average service life in the Icelandic fishing industry is 6-8 years, depend-ing on size and maintenance.
