| The BOREAL chipper-canter is a functional unit fitted with two conical side heads to produce two sided cants while achieving the highest quality chips. This innovative equipment displays the following features: A system able to slab logs of 3 to 22 inches of diameter. The BOREAL chipper heads are mounted on pivot assembly with pre-charged taper bearings to eliminate continuous lubrication. Pivots are activated by electric cylinders (optional) allowing a vertical movement of the chipper heads to give a straight cut for an exceptional surface finish. The chipper-canter can be twined with twin band saws or circular saws. Monoblock chipper heads with patented conical wear plates.
