| | | Motors may be supplied with a built-in thermal industrial protector preventing the stator windings from overheating due to poor ventilation or highly intermittent duty. Thermal protectors consist of a bimetal disc that, when the rated temperature (150 °C) is reached, disconnects the contacts.
