Cogitative, Proactive Thinking:Our practised company philosophy

What makes a product a good product? Of course, the quality of its construction, its reliability andthe service one receives as customer. Börger adds another important aspect of quality to this list: the quality of the idea behind the product. That's why people say: at Börger, they think in pumps.
Doing things better – that has been our guiding thoughtfrom the start, and spans our entire company history. In the first ten years after the initial founding of the company in 1975, it referred to the shoring up our young, fledgling company, which at that time was operating as a sales agency. The next ten years are marked by the development ofour own rotary lobe pump and the further expansion ofthe company, which at that stage still only operated on a national level. Our ambitious goal during this phase wasto construct a compact, stable rotary lobe pump with along operating lifetime and the ability to replace wearing parts quickly. This early goal not only represents the initial trigger for the six complete ranges that we havetoday in our extensive rotary lobe pump programme, butalso the hour of conception for the MIP Principle: Maintenance in Place – the simple and quick replacementof wearing parts in-situ by operating personnel. Today, allof Börger's products conform to the MIP Principle. The years since 1995 brought continuous development ofthe product programme and with that our international breakthrough. Today Börger enjoys a worldwide presence. This is thanks to a structured growth process, which does not depend on mass produced products but rather on individual products for specific areas of use and the associated operating conditions. In order to supply products which meet the require-ments of the different areas of use, we have developed a large and extensive product range. The level of continuity and consistency in our productdevelopment demonstrates a considerable continuity of economic growth as well as a well-maintained level ofmotivation of our employees due to secured, long-termwork places. This mature stability and our long-term perspectives derived from it are very important to us.That's why we also place a great deal of emphasis on long-term and close cooperation with our suppliers. This idea of close cooperation is especially important. This is because it represents the shortest path from the initial planning to checking the actual feasibility of a project. We treat our suppliers as partners in just the same manner as we like to be treated by our customers. Our most successful product developments are the result of direct discussions with our customers and understanding precisely what their requirements are.We do not view your problems as obstacles, but rather as challenges. 3
