RotaryactionofthePneu-TurnRotaryActuatorisachieved throughtheuseofarackandpinionassembly.Justaswithapneumaticorhydrauliccylinder,thespeedofrotationmaybe controlledthroughtheuseofflowcontrols.Theactionatthe endoftherotationcanbecontrolledbytheuseofadjustable cushions,whichareavailableasanoption.Careshouldbetakentoinsurethattheinertialforcedoesnotexceedthepublishedtorquecapacity.Anexternalstopmaybe necessarytoavoidexceedingthetorquecapacitydueto inertialloads.WhenmountingthePneu-Turnagainsttheshaftsideofthehousing,besuretoprovideclearanceforthepilotdiameterto avoidexcessivebearingpressure.Forstandardmodels,axialloadsmustonlybeappliedinthedirectionindicatedonthedimensionaldrawings.TheDual ShaftorRearShaftoptionscanbeusedtocorrectlyorient tensioninducedaxialloads.WiththeBallBearingoption,axial loadscanbeappliedineitherdirection.TheAngleAdjustmentOptionwillallow45°ofadjustability.Ifcushionsareorderedinconjunctionwiththeangleadjustment option,adjustabilitywillbe10°.
