Its fully automatic standard processing of 1 to 6 tubes simultaneously makes this sawing line into the fastest and most productive in the world. Its extremely high output can reach 6,000 items per hour in line or 11,000 stand-alone. The 5.5 kW motor produces a cutting speed of 50 to 300 m/min. The minimum tube diameter it can handle is 8 mm and the maximum 90 mm. Rod stock, rectangular and square profiles - from a minimum of 10 x 10 mm and a maximum of 80 x 80 mm - are cut super fast and extremely accurately. To prevent tubes from becoming damaged during transport, they are lifted up so that they are not in contact with either the base or the rear jaw. Unique simultaneous processing The brilliance of the BEWO SCF-90 Quatro can Ibe traced back to a simple invention: the BEWO jaw system. This system clamps up to six tubes simultaneously, at four points on each tube. This results in a sixfold increase in maximum speed. In the machine design the simultaneous processing, from loading and positioning right through to the output, has been perfected. The centralised BEWO control system using a Siemens S7 plays a crucial role in this. Based on the specifications fed into the system, the most efficient setting are automatically selected. The system also recommends which saw blade to use. Handling of the materials to be sawn is fully automatic and easy to program. By using servo techniques, a very high positioning accuracy is achieved, while reliability is guaranteed through the use of checkpoints (camera and load cell) for the handling of the tubes. With the software developed by BEWO in-house, all the in-line units can be changed over for a new batch within seconds.
