The patented BEUMER 2D E Tray Sorter with contactless energy supply is a standard sorter of the BEUMER modular sorter system with motor-driven tilt elements and is available in the sizes BS 25 and BS 55. The motor driven tilt element of the sorter ensures a two-dimensional and controlled discharge of the sorter goods to both sides of the sorter. 5 By converting standard electrical power into a medium frequency current, the electrical energy can be transmitted from the static power supply to the flying transformer crossing an air gap of 5 mm clearance. Due to the selected frequency of the current, a very high transmission efficiency of 96% is realized.
