| PRODUCT DESCRIPTION The M-26 is a patented elevating platform specifically designed for tank trucks. It provides railing fall protection for all of the top ports on a typical tank truck. Self-adjusting stairs give operators safe access to the top of the platform. The M-26 is ideal for loading. Loading arms and/or piping can be mounted directly on the mast. MATERIALS OF CONSTRUCTION Platform: 1" serrated bar grating 19-W-4, 6" channel framework. Stairs: Grip strut treads 24 inches wide. Railings: 1 1/2" x 11 gauge steel tubing or 2 x 2x 1/4" angle for galvanized. | FINISH Gray shop primer. Top coat per customer specifications available. Hot dipped galvanized available. SAFETY Meets all OSHA requirements for tank truck platforms. APPROXIMATE WEIGHT Mast, actuator, carriage and platform - 4,000 lbs. Stairs - 820 lbs. MECHANICAL ACTUATOR 10 ton machine screw equipped with safety boot and high and low limit switches. The machine screw is self-locking. Travel length 4 ft.; travel speed 27 in./min, 3 HP motor with optional voltage. | CONTROLS Consist of one push button station, an automatic safety switch and a reversing combination motor starter. Push buttons are also located at platform level. NEMA 3R standard. Explosion proof available. INSTALLATION For the most part, the unit is shipped completely assembled. Only the stairs and the platform section need to be bolted on in the field. Once the foundation is poured, the unit can typically be assembled by two men in one day. | |||
