Accessories Differential-pressure gauge Differential-pressure gauges are used to determinethe condition, i.e. the degree of fouling, of the filter elements. The scaling on the display field also al- lows an energy cost analysis. The FDPS differential- pressure gauge has two pressure chambers which are separated by a membrane. One chamber relates to the pressure upstream, the other one to the pres- sure downstream of the filter element. Any existing pressure difference changes the position of the mem- brane and thus the position of the magnetic piston. The piston’s changed magnetic field is transferred to the pointer without friction. Measuring system and indicating system are separate from each other. There- fore, the indicating system functions without pressure, and contaminants from the gas side cannot soil the display field.
english Separator, prefilter and depth filter are supplied with electronically level-controlled condensate drains, type BEKOMAT, as a standard. Please observe the in- structions in the corresponding documentation. The condensate must be disposed of in compliancewith the valid legal regulations. Condensate treat- ment using an ÖWAMAT oil-water separator or a BEKOSPLIT emulsion splitting plant represents a par- ticularly economic solution. Filter element replacement •Where appropriate, close shutoff valves at gasinlet and outlet.•Depressurize the housing. •Undo blank flange. You can use the last flangescrew as a pivot. The blank flange is then simply turned aside to provide full access.•After loosening two nuts, withdraw the filter ele-ments – complete with tie-rod unit – from the hous- ing.•Unscrew the filter elements counter-clockwise fromthe tie-rod unit (4,7 Nm).•Screw new filter elements onto the threaded rod(fingertight, without tools) and place unit into the housing.•Grease flange gasket slightly using Molykote. •Fit blank flange. •Slowly admit pressure to the filter by gradual ope-ning of the shutoff valves.•Make a note of the date of the next element re-placement on the housing, the maintenance sche- dule and the label supplied with the elements. Stick the label on a part of the filter housing where it can easily be seen. Re-order new elements and, where appropriate, a new float-type drain to en- sure an adequate stock of spare parts.
