THE COMPANY Main Site in Südlohn The Bauer GmbH has been successful in severalsectors - attachments for the fork-lift truck, products for the environmental protection sector and storage systems - for a considerable number of years. Bauer’s activities include both development and manufacture of these products and of course sales on a world-wide scale. Close observation of the market and high standards where quality is concerned – these are two of the factors that have helped Bauer become one of the leading manufacturers in this field. In 1993 the company was certified for the first time according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000; the implementation of this quality assurance management system guarantees highstandards. In addition the company is a registered “specialist company” according to the German “Wasserhaushaltsgesetz” § 19 I - the law governing the protection of ground water. Bauer products are only manufactured in Südlohn, where the main administration section is or in Halberstadt. The high standard achieved – this incidentally refers to the level of safety as well as the quality of the products – can only be maintained with the help of qualified personnel and by using the most modern manufacturing technology available. “Our standard is made to measure” and “innovative in the name of the environment” are two mottos that reflect the Bau- er philosophy in day-to-day business. Ideas and special requests from customers are processed by an in-house construction department using the most advanced CAD-systems; this means ideas can be put into practice at short notice. Numerous licences show the innovative power generated by Bauer GmbH. Manufacturing is extremely efficient and thanks to the Logistic Centre lead times can be kept short. 4
