What is the total cycle time?-Does this include warm-up and dry times? -Does this meet the practice’s turn-around times? ? What is the chamber size? -Will it accommodate cassettes? ? Are racks available to hold instruments/cassettes? ? What are the electrical requirements? ? Are there any special monitoring requirements (e.g., air removal testing)? ? What type of water reservoir system is used (if steam)? ? Is the sterilization method compatible with the type of instruments to be processed (e.g., corrosiveness, plastic)? ? Is there a drying cycle (if steam)? ? It is easy to use? ? What are the space requirements? ? Are there any special requirements for waste disposal? ? Is a printer available to document sterilization parameters? ? Is the method chosen cost-effective?
