7. Mine drilling equipment A mobile drill with three freely tilting drill heads mounted on the front of the dredger-like base, and a BTL for monitoring drill depth. The drill can be down to 6 m (2x3 m), and is accomplished using two drill rods stacked on topof each other. Tool changing when inserting and removing the drill is fully automatic, assisted by the BTL. Tool breakage or hard rock can also be recognized by measuring the hydraulic pressure and drill depth.Experience gained from the incredibly harsh conditions of this application has already resultedin regular production enhancements of the BTL. Especially high demands are made in terms of industrial seal thightness, shock, and vibration resistance. u
