MLD - Magnetic level indicator - 1

For technical data sheets and dimensional drawings please refer to our website www.badotherm.com 01/01/2006 rev 2 302 5.1.1 level instrumentation magnetic level indicator model MLD Indicates the level in the tank on a scale Badotherm magnetic level gauges are designed for gauging liquids where glass, gaskets, threaded connection etc cannot be tolerated because of corrosion problems, toxic gases, dangerous fluids etc. Model MLD is a economy model with equally effective performance as MLR. The indicating column consists of an encased shuttle magnet inside a glass tube. The shuttle ( follower ) magnet is couples with a float magnet inside the cage and moves along with the float to indicate the correct liquid level of the vessel on which the cage is fitted. This model can be used for high temperature applications. Alarm switches and transmitter cannot be provided with model MLD. Technical specification Cage 2” NB pipe AISI316 / PP / PVC / PVDF Maximum center to center 6000 mm ( side / side ) Depth 3000 mm ( top ) Connecting flanges ANSI B16.5 / DIN / JIS Maximum viscosity 500 cst Pressure rating PN16 … PN100 Maximum operating temperature 300 °C for AISI316 80 °C for PVDF 60 °C for PP 40 °C for PVC Minimum SG of liquid 0.40 Roller inaccuracy 1% Minimum difference in SG between interface liquid 0.10 Accessories and specials Interface measurement Heating jackets Drain / vent / isolation valves Float sink indication Salient features Un-pressurised float without mechanical or magnetic guide rails 360 degrees magnetic coupling Fully corrosion resistant system Not affected by pressure, vacuum, temperature foam and viscosity Minimum sensitivity to density variation Glandless construction Permanent indication without external power supply Eccentric drain can not be blocked by the float Safe environmentally friendly and trouble free construction * for special applications consult factory
