Web server - Serial servers can be accessed and configured from any web browser on the LAN/WAN. This allows you to remotely manage the software and your serial device. It also supports off-site troubleshooting. Heartbeat connection protection keeps you online - If there is a communication halt, the serial server will attempt to reconnect every five seconds until a connection is regained. Without this convenient feature, a device that loses a connection and stops communicating would not be able to reconnect without a person attending to the problem.
