As a result, AXIOMTEK's iCOM-4000 series consists of a wide-range of media converters and 8-port fiber switches. Its variety in fiber optic connectivity gives users the flexibility in extending their networks beyond conventional ways. By offering the path of converging data, voice, and video onto IP-based optical networks, AXIOMTEK's iCOM-4000 series delivers the best available solutions to reap the benefits of emerging Internet communications. The iCOM-4000 series offers the following competitive features to its customers: Comprehensive Combinations The iCOM-4000 series is compatible with many configurations: managed or unmanaged, wired or wireless, fixed or modular. | Go Beyond the Standard Industrial Testing AXIOMTEK's iCOM-4000 series targets to support harsh environment applications. To achieve this mission, the series is equipped with the following features: ■ Operating Temperature Range -34 to +74'C The iCOM-4000 series applies high quality components with a wider temperature range and longer MTBF. It is the first product in the market to meet the requirement of a 74*C operating temperature and a 6-year MTBF at the same time. The housing design helps this process, which can dissipate heat very efficiently, allowing the unit to operate under extremely high temperature conditions. " High ESD Protection The iCOM-4000 series is designed with an emphasis on electrical surge and discharge protection. Its unique design includes high ESD protection at 15KV, surge protection at 10KV, and EFT Burst at 4.4KV. Several models of the iCOM-4000 series will not have any packet loss under EFT burst 2KV. This remarkable feature guarantees the quality of communication under extreme conditions. • Power/LAN Protection AXIOMTEK's iCOM-4000 series particularly emphasizes power protection. The over-voltage protection and poly-fuses are designed for over-load current. In addition, with redundant power supplies, these systems will not shut down easily.
