EarthAware™ Films EarthAware DuraClear 2000 Biodegradable EZ-Tear™ Pillows (EGDC) Biodegradable DuraClear EZ-Tear™ Pillows offer an environmentally responsible way to protect your products, while providing a direct cost savings. The EZ-Tear Pillow design increases productivity and significantly reduces shipping and packing costs. EarthAware biodegradable DuraClear is a linear low density polyethylene that contains a proprietary additive that causes biodegradation of the poly in one to five years, depending on exposure conditions. Material performance properties and shelf life remain intact, as biodegradation only occurs when in contact with other biodegrading material, such as the conditions found in landfills, home and commercial composting. These biodegradable pillows biodegrade in both aerobic (with the presence of free oxygen) and anaerobic (without the presence of free oxygen) conditions. AirPouch pillows feature our exclusive EZ-Tear Perforations; a patented design that enables quick and easy separation of the pillows, allowing the operator to be more efficient and pack with less strain. These unique perforations let more air into each pillow to provide a better yield, lower cost per cubic foot, and less weight per package. Pillows are boxed to reduce changeover rate and allow for an increased run time. In addition, these clean and dust-free pillows do not require a knife or blade to slit the material.
