I NSTAL LAT I ON INFORMATION:
1. SEPARATE THE STATOR PADS ON THE BRAKE
2. SLIDE THE BRAKE OVER THE ROTOR WITH ONE FAD ON EACH SIDE OF ROTOR.
ASSEMBLY INFORMATION:
MPORTANT: THERE MAY BE MORE PARTS IN A SERVICE KIT THAN YOUR BRAKE REQUIRES. CHECK THE PARTS LIST CAREFULLY FOR THE EXACT QUANTITY
3. ALIGN THE FLOATING SLEEVES WITH HOLES
MOUNTING FIXTURE
4. INSERT MOUNTING BOLTS INTO SLEEVES.
5. TIGHTEN BOLTS TO 240- 250 FT-LB.
-MOUNTING BOLTS TO BE LUBRICATED WITH A PETROLEUM BASED FLUID.
6. ATTACH BRAKE LINE USING 7/16-20 UNF-2B FITTING TO
ONE OF THE PORTS AND PLUG THE OTHER USING SUPPLIED PLUG.
BRAKE ASSEMBLY INFORMATION:
NOTE: ALL PARTS MUST BE THOROUGHLY CLEANED PRIOR TO ASSEMBLY. NSERT BUSHINGS, SLEEVES, AND WIPERS. LUBRICATE BUSHINGS WITH A HIGH TEMPERATURE GREASE BEFORE ASSEMBLY.
LUBRICATE THE CYLINDER OF THE HOUSING, SQUARE-RING, AND PISTON BEFORE RE-ASSEMBLY.
NSTALL THE SQUARE-RING IN THE GROOVE IN THE CYLINDER BORE FURTHEST FROM THE OPENING. NSTALL A BOOT ONTO THE PISTON. THE SMALL OPENING OF THE BOOT IS TO BE SEATED IN THE GROOVE ON THE FRONT SIDE OF THE PISTON. PULL THE BOOT OVER THE FULL LENGTH OF THE PISTON AND EXTEND THE BOOT BEYOND THE END OF THE PISTON ABOUT 1/4" INCH. START THE BOOT LIP INTO THE CYLINDER GROOVE. USE A VICE OR SHOP PRESS TO SLOWLY MOVE THE PISTON INTO THE CYLINDER UNTIL THE PISTON BOTTOMS OUT. VERIPY THAT THE BOOT HAS PROPERLY SEATED IN THE CYLINDER BORE GROOVE
BOLT BOTH HOUSING ASSEMBLIES TOGETHER. -THE ASSEMBLY BOLTS MUST BE LUBRICATED WITH A PETROLEUM BASE FLUID.
-THE ASSEMBLY BOLTS MUST BE TORQUED TO 240-260 FT LBS. -TIGHTEN BOLTS IN A CIRCULAR SEQUENCES
-ONCE TIGHTEND PROPERLY TOROUE BOLTS IN A CIRCULAR SEQUENCE NSERT STATOR PINS INTO BRAKE AND THROUGH EARS OP STATOR PADS. INSTALL KICKOUT RINGS ONTO STATOR PINS. ASSEMBLE ONTO MOUNTING FIXTURE AS NOTED IN INSTALLATION IN FORMAT I ON.
GENERAL SERVICE I N FORMAT I ON :
1. REMOVE KICKOUT RINGS FROM STATOR PINS AND SLIDE OUT OF HOUSING.
2. DISCARD WORN STATOR PADS. TAKE NOTE THAT THE STATOR ON THE PISTON SIDE OF THE BRAKE IS UNIQUE FROM THE OPPOSING STATOR.
3. INSERT STATOR PINS INTO BRAKE AND THROUGH EARS OP NEW
STATOR PADS. INSTALL KICKOUT RINGS INTO STATOR PINS

. REMOVE MOUNTING BOLTS.
2. REMOVE BRAKE FROM MOUNTING BRACKET.
3. REMOVE KICKOUT RINGS FROM STATOR PINS AND SLIDE OUT OF HOUSING.
4. DISCARD WORN STATOR PADS. TAKE NOTE THAT THE STATOR ON THE PISTON SIDE OF THE BRAKE IS UNIQUE FROM THE OPFOSING STATOR.
5. REMOVE ASSEMBLY BOLTS.
6. REMOVE BOOT AND PISTON FROM THE HOUSING AT THE SAME TIME. DO SO BY HOLDING THE
BRAKE AGAINST A TABLE SURFACE WITH THE PISTON
FACING DOWN AND SLOWLY APPLYING AIR PRESSURE
TO THE INLET PORT. ONCE THE PISTON
IS OUT OF THE HOUSING, TILT THE PISTON TO ONE
SIDE AND FRY THE BOOT OUT OF THE HOUSING.
DISCARD THESE PIECES
ONLY IF YOU ARE REBUILDING.
7. REMOVE THE SQUARE-RING PROM THE CYLINDER OP THE HOUSING.
8.INSFECT HOUSING BORE. IT MUST BE CLEAN AND RUST FREE. IF RUST IS PRESENT, USE EMORY OR CROCUS CLOTH TO REMOVE. THE SQUARE-RING SEALS AGAINST THE PISTON SURFACE, SO SMALL SCRATCHES AND CAVITIES IN THE BORE WALL WILL NOT AFFECT SEALING PERFORMANCES. HOWEVER, SINCE THE BORE GUIDES THE PISTON MOVEMENT, ANY CYLINDER WALL IMPERPECTI ON, WHICH CAUSES THE PISTON TO CATCH OR WEDGE IN THE BORE MUST BE TAKEN CARE OF. IF THE PISTON CANNOT BE PROPERLY GUIDED IN THE BORE, REPLACE THE HOUSING.
9. CLEAN ALL PORTS AND MOUNTING SURPACES. WASH HOUSING IN A SOLVENT TO REMOVE ANY DIRT, LOOSE RUST. AND ANY PETROLEUM PRODUCTS.
10.INSPECT ALL OTHER PARTS FOR UNUSUAL WEAR OR RUST. CLEAN OR REPLACE AS NECESSARY.
