MODEL E8

PORTABLE GENERATOR

MODEL E8 PORTABLE GENERATOR is nominally rated at 2.4 kW and provides 48 VDC power at 50 amperes of current. The E8 generator contains two POWERSTACK™ MC250-1200W stacks and is the first generator powered by the POWERSTACK™ MC250 fuel cell.

The self-contained unit is fuelled by an external tank of compressed hydrogen at 6-200 bar (100-3000 psi) and includes on-board batteries that supply power the instant the switch is turned on. At full power, fuel consumption is 1600 normal litres/hour. Electrical efficiency of the entire generator is above 50%, a figure unequalled by any other device in its class, and several times higher than the efficiency of conventional generators fuelled by gasoline. As well, it is quiet and emission free allowing it to be operated indoors.

The MODEL E8 is user friendly as the end user simply flips a switch to have power delivered. The complete unit is controlled by a microprocessor-based system that performs all control, supervisory, monitoring and data logging functions automatically.

APPLICATIONS

MODEL E8 PORTABLE GENERATOR is targeted at select stationary applications such as Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) and extended run backup applications and portable applications such as emergency site power and worksite power.
