Sia strutturalmente, che dimensionalmente, non ha nulla da invidiare alle Gru in versione Bitrave. Per ottimizzare i carichi trasmessi sulla struttura portante, la trave può essere strutturata in profilo laminato oppure a cassone, studiata e dimensionata da un’ apposito sostegno informatico (programma computerizzato). Grazie allo scorrimento del carrello paranco nell’ala inferiore della trave, si ha, soprattutto nella versione del carrello ad ingombro ridotto, uno sfruttamento ottimale della corsa gancio. Le Gru in versione Monotrave Ascom, possono essere realizzate con portate che variano da 0,5 a 10 ton, con scartamenti da 1 a 25 m., costituendo una valida ed economica alternativa alle versioni Bitrave. This advantage is particularly striking in the small sized crane. Ascom monorail cranes can feature capacities ranging from 0.5 to 10 tons, with extensions ranging from 1 to 25 metres.
