| | Class VB: Case Compensated Suitable for line lengths up to 6 m. May be used for longer lines, but errors due to ambient temperature changes will be proportional to length. | |
| | | |
| | Class VA: Case and Line Compensated. The robust "Vannul" (R) capillary is self-compensating for ambient temperature changes. Can be used for line lengths up to 33 m without excessive error. | |

Elementsac-tuated by vapor, gas and organic liquids are also available. | All temperature systems are interchangeable with Bourdon and metal diaphragm actuated elements. The standard unit is provided with a plain bulb and 6 m armored capillary, all in stainless steel. Bulbs, connections and armor are available in various materials to meet the requirements of any application. Mercury Mercury-filled elements are all-welded and provide a uniform scale instrument over short or long ranges of temperature. The mercury provides a high order of repeatability and responsiveness. | Table I Measuring ranges for mercury-filled systems (° C) Standard:-40...- 50 Special:0...+300 -20...- 90 30...+150 0...+ 65 30...+240 0...+ 100 40...+ 100 0...+ 150 60...+ 180 0...+ 200 60...+ 220 10...+200 100...- 200 10...+300 200...+ 600 | |
