ARS BRIQUETTERStransform ordinaryindustrial turnings, filings, chips, clippings—even metallic dust—into dense, economically processed briquettes that typically command prices much greater than non- compacted scrap. But increasing your profits is only part of the briquettingadvantage. Briquetters can do considerably more in the bargain:•Provide lower transportation costs•Facilitate the removal and recoveryof cutting fluids through the intense pressure of compaction•Reduce material handling costs•Minimize the hazardous liabilityexposure associated with the transportation of loose turnings contaminated with cutting fluids•Convert valuable floor space allocated to scrap storage into revenue-producing manufacturing spaceApplied Recovery Systems can convert a manufac-turing cost into a profit center. With six models in the lineup, there’s a Briquettermatched to your needs.

BRIQUETTER MODELS

150 / 250 / 600 / 1000

ARS Briquetters produce an increased melt yield that translates into greater profits. Scrap dealers often pay up to 30% more for briquettes than for loose materials. An ARS Briquetter typically pays for itself in less than two years from scrap premiums and cutting fluid alone (depending on the type and volume of material processed). Thereafter, the income and cost-savings it generates go straight to your bottom line. ARS Briquetters are manufactured in our 30,000 square foot facility in Waco,Texas. They’re built with all-American components including Allen BradleyPLCs, Effector proximity switches, Parker valvingand pumps, and Baldormotors. These readily available parts help ensure ease of serviceability.
Compact, cost-efficient ARS industrial models provide impressive performance up to 3,200 pounds of scrap per hour with rugged features including: • Integrated fluid collection and pumping system

Heavy-Duty Frame

• Steel belt take-away conveyors • Heavy-duty frames The hopper is protected from loading damage by a body made from heavy-wall structural tubing. The structural integrity helps deflect the shock load to the foundation ensuring a long life and minimizing machine maintenance. Heat-treated 4340 wear liners and compression components provide for long, trouble-free life.
• Allen Bradley PLCs • Parker valves and pumps • Large-capacity hoppers

Consistent Operation

Our Briquetters utilize an Allen Bradley PLC for reliable, automatic operation. The processor ensures a quality briquette every time — even when the hopper is emptying or the chip density has changed.
ARS Briquetters are simple to operate.Employees require little training and become proficient in minimal time. A sturdy frame of heavy-wall structuraltubing protects the hopper from damage when loading.

Additionally, our agitator presses material into the compression chamber, holds it down, and keeps it down.

Larger, Denser Briquettes

The larger size of ARS briquettes enables our machines to run lower cyclesper hour which helps lengthen the life of the seals and reduces component wear. The higher density serves to extract more cutting fluids, resulting in ahigher level of recovery.
