Optical Characteristics
Internal OTAU Module
The Internal OTAU module is plugged into the MasterWatch RTUchassis in a normal cPCI slot. Space can be saved by mounting it in the left most cPCI slot. It takes its power and is controlled via the cPCI backplane. The MasterWatch RTU supports the use of an internal optical switch.The chassis is capable of supporting only one internal switch. Additional optical switches may be used, but the external variant is required.
Input Ports The optical switch uses only a single input port. Output ports The optical switch options include an 4, 8, 12, 16 and 24 port variants. Connector Type The optical switch is available with FC, SC, LC and LX-5 connectors.
