Réf. : 304 108 02 METAL DETECTOR SCOPE The DET metal detectors can be used on any conveyor belt, regardless of the layer height and bulk product handled. They detect the presence of ferrous and non-ferrous metals (sphere 25 mm). They are recommended for : – the protection of an installation against metal elements ; – the control of pureness. TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION The DETs generate a pulsating primary magnetic field by the emitting coils. The induced eddy currents are permanently controlled by the receiving coils. When this field is altered, it indicates the presence of a ferrous or non-ferrous metal element, regardless of the handled product's characteristics (moisture content, granular size, magnetism, density). They consist of the following components : – a frame, made of a resistant and nonconductor composite ; – coils resistant to shocks and impacts. The receiving coils are doubled to compensate for electromagnetic interferences (electric motors, radio transmitters, etc.) ; – a generator ; – an ORETRONIC control and calculation unit, built around a high-capacity microprocessor, installed in sealed case (IP55) with ergonomically designed display. INSTALLATION MODALITIES The DETs are installed on the conveyor belt's structure without requiring any changes or actions on the conveyor belt. After installation, the ORETRONIC unit is calibrated. SPÉCIFICATIONS Performances vary according to various parameters : – characteristics of the products to be handled ; – characteristics of the metal elements to be detected ; – conveyor belt speed. 10 DET models are offered according to the conveyor belt standard : 400, 500, 650, 800, 1000, 1200, 1400, 1600, 1800, 2000 mm. ADDED FEATURES The DET incorporated microprocessor allows programming the DET for a specific selected usage : – automatic static calibration ; – adjustable selection ; – positive detection, independently from the conveyor belt load or the type of products ; – digital signal processing ; – continuous automatic zero ; – retrieval when passing over staples and other listed magnetic elements ; – swiveling upper coil protected against shocks ; – mounting without removal of conveyor belt ; – anticorrosion and non-magnetic support frame USAGE MODE No required servicing or maintenance of the magnetic part.
