| Spiral ML | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The SpiralVeyor* ML is a Multi Level Spiral elevator. In the nineties the SpiralVeyor® became the industry's standard for elevation from one infeed to one discharge, up or down. The new ML is an improvement on the classic SpiralVeyor® concept adding extra infeeds and discharges. The ML is used as a vertical merge or a vertical switch or a combination of both. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The tangential divert, leads items in tangential direction from the mainstream. It is specially suited for high-speed switching of trains of instable and sensitive items. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Set up: The SpiralVeyor® ML consists of 3 elements. 1) A SpiralVeyor® SV series 2) one or more merge units and or 3) one or more diverts. The overall conveyor control needs to divert the items and integrate the induction. Merges: The standard ML merges is positioned tangentially to the conveyor center line to smooth out sudden direction changes. It's shaped to fit the curved spiral shape. Typically, the merge belt is set up to stop or speed up the products when entering these into a gap in the main stream. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Radial divert | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Configurations: The SpiralVeyor® ML can principally be applied on all belt width of the SpiralVeyor® SV which ranges from 100 to 600 mm or even on the double belt series SpiralVeyor® SVX with belt width up to 800 mm. The diverts and infeeds can be positioned in all directions between 90 and even 45 degrees formations in respect to the windings. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Induction belt | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Divert: Depending on the use there is a choice of two types of diverts. The radial divert, pushes the products radially from the mainstream. It is specially suited for one on one selection of stable and rigid items. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Multiple inductions / diverts | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Performance: There have been good long term practical experiences with speeds up to 60 m/min. e.g. 3000 - 4500 items per hour. Elevation of multiple stock levels is possible with just one spiral. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
